This is our young Monsieur Gaspard Sorrel, a papier mache and cloth doll made of painted papier mache and cloth in the classic method for antique dolls of the 19th century. A young man with pale skin, given to melancholy and philosophy, with wispy painted hair. He wears trousers and a cutaway jacket of aged cotton and a shirt of aged cotton. A linen beret with chain stitching detail, to match, painted boots with cloth and paint socks. He wears grosgrain bowtie and a tiny brass bee charm. He is available for purchase here.

Miss Edwina Tippen
Miss Edwina Tippen, a papier mache and cloth doll by Lora Soling. This lady is 16.75 inches tall, made of painted, sculpted papier mache and cloth in the same manner in which 19th Century German papier mache dolls were made. Her head, upper arms and legs are sculpted, painted, aged, and coated with four layers of varnish for protection. She wears a chemise, knickers, petticoat and dress, bonnet, necklace, all designed and made by me of vintage and antique fabrics, trimmed with ribbons, laces and beads. This doll is one of a kind. Miss Nessie Parsons
Miss Nessie Parsons, a papier mache artist doll by Lora Soling. Miss Parsons, 6.75 inches, is made of painted, sculpted papier mache and cloth in the same manner as antique German papier mache dolls were made. She wears a cotton dress with silk flower detail, camisole and petticoat, knickers , all made by me of antique fabrics. Her hair is of silk roving. This doll is one of a kind. Young Cooper Finney, age 10, going on 37. A young man dressed in aspiring sailor clothing, Cooper is an original artist doll made in the manner of papier mache dolls in the nineteenth century. A wise and melancholic young man, his head, lower arms and legs are papier mache and his body, upper arms and legs are cloth. The papier mache is sculpted and painted, then aged by my own methods. Four coats of varnish are applied and the doll is next assembled and dressed. Cooper, a red-haired fellow, is wearing a double breasted jacket of vintage cotton with matching knickers. His shirt is of antique fabric and his tie is made of vintage ribbon. This doll is one of a kind. All clothing and accessories by the artist. Cooper has been sold.
